①Processing mechanism, in addition to the sophistication of traditional processing methods, non-traditional processing (special processing) methods are developing rapidly. At present, the traditional processing methods mainly include precision cutting with diamond tools, precision grinding with diamond micro-powder grinding wheels, precision high-speed cutting and precision abrasive belt grinding. Non-traditional processing methods mainly include high-energy beam processing such as electron beams, ion beams, and laser beams, electric sparks, electrochemical processing, photolithography (etching), etc., and electrolytic grinding, magnetic grinding, and magnetic fluid with composite processing mechanisms have emerged. Composite processing methods such as polishing and ultrasonic honing, the study of processing mechanisms is the theoretical basis for precision and ultra-precision processing and the growth point of new technologies.



②Materials to be processed. Materials to be processed by precision machining have strict requirements in terms of chemical composition, physical and mechanical properties, chemical properties, and processing performance. The processed materials should have uniform texture, stable performance, no macro and micro defects on the outside and inside, and meet the performance requirements to achieve the expected results of precision machining.

③Inspection, precision machining must have corresponding inspection technology to form an integration of processing and inspection. There are three methods for inspection of precision machining: offline inspection, on-site inspection and online inspection. Offline inspection means that after processing is completed, the workpiece is sent to the inspection room for inspection. On-site inspection means that the workpiece is not unloaded after it is processed on the machine tool, but is inspected on the spot. If any problems are found, it can be processed again. Online inspection is performed during the machining process so that dynamic error compensation can be actively controlled and implemented.
